SAVINA NICOLINI BIO
Savina Nicolini, (Italy/Singapore), is the founder and design director of SNA design. Thanks to her international experience spanning from public to commercial projects, Savina Nicolini’s design process starts with a rigorous architectural approach and engages in a continuous interrogation of context-specificities.
Among her works: Acqua-da-bere, exhibition design, Triennale Milan; Maria Theresia, exhibition design, National Museum of Singapore; Sports Museum, permanent exhibition, Singapore; Sino-Singapore Finance Museum, permanent exhibition, Singapore; Tim Brasil, concept store, Sao Paulo, Brasil; Ren-I-Tang, architectural conservation, and re-use of TCM Medical Hall in Penang, Malaysia; Hamaya Spa, wellness design, Indonesia.
She was nominated “Emerging designer 2018-2019” by d+a magazine. Among her awards: Ren-I-Tang was exhibited at the Venice Biennale, in 2011; Anguilla Park was awarded Best Design by I-DEA Asia Pacific, in 2015.
Guest lecturer at ADM, Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) and INDA (International Program in Design and Architecture), Chulalongkorn University, Faculty of Architecture, (Thailand), Nicolini is the co-author of Lina Bo Bardi: aprirsi all’accadimento (1998), the first architectural monography on Lina Bo Bardi. She is also the founder of AIDA, a network of Italian designers based in Asia aimed to promote design internationally.
